We produced this high-end, café experience design for a client in Oman, with seating that fosters community, sleek styling, and artistically placed facades. Greenery and natural elements contrast the arid environment, bringing life and luxury to dining.
The foundational concept for this café aimed to establish a venue where both students and business professionals could engage in their activities, each enjoying an appropriate level of privacy.
To realize this vision, careful consideration was given to the operational dynamics of the space. By positioning the take-away counter proximate to the entrance, we effectively minimized pedestrian movement within the seating area, thereby reducing disturbances for patrons.
To establish a striking entrance, I incorporated an Iranian-inspired archway at the café's entrance. This expansive, clear aperture not only makes a bold statement but also welcomes visitors with an inviting façade.
The warm, matte colours and textures of the flooring and wall finishes juxtapose beautifully with the vibrant natural light that floods through the windows. Furthermore, the introduction of shaded zones and lush greenery softens this interplay of light, fostering a more serene and inviting atmosphere for patrons.
Stylistic lines are used throughout the floor, ceiling, partitions, counter and exterior designs to keep the warm, inviting theme.
